The internet is a marvellous thing for many reasons - not least because it allows students to do research that would have taken months of hard work in dusty archives to do in the (not so distant) past. The opening up of archives, and particularly searchable-databases, means ALL students can do activities that are both fairly academic and entertaining in ways that couldn't have been possible even 5 years ago!
