Introducing the Fairtrade Foundation
We are excited to have the Fairtrade Foundation blogging for us in March to highlight Fairtrade Fortnight which runs from 28 February until 13 March.

Here is a little bit about the Fairtrade Foundation:

The Fairtrade Foundation exists to improve the position of poor and marginalised farmers in the developing world, by encouraging industry and consumers in the United Kingdom to support fairer trade. Our vision is of a world in which everyone, through their work, can maintain a dignified livelihood and develop their full potential. We are the independent non-profit organisation that licenses use of the FAIRTRADE Mark on products in the UK. Our aim is to enable young people to understand their impact as consumer citizens, and members of their communities, and to understand the concept of sustainable development and the power they have to change the world around them for the better. We support schools across the UK to embed Fairtrade across all aspects of school life, by teaching about trade in the context of sustainable development, by taking part in events, campaigns and initiatives to support Fairtrade, and by choosing Fairtrade products. Schools also work towards a Fairtrade Schools Award.
